Tri-Sector Innovation Featured On 'Care More Be Better' Podcast

We knew when we first tuned in to Care More Be Better that Corinna Belizzi’s sustainability-focused podcast was well aligned with NewImpact’s message and approach to solving problems and discovering opportunities.  Tri-Sector Innovation (TSI) is all about repurposing existing resources across all three sectors and aligning self-interests, all in service of a common benefit. It’s an approach that supports sustainability goals, can be used across all impact areas, and enables innovators, activists, and entrepreneurs to build businesses that unite profit and purpose. Because when we fold meaning into our models, better things can—and do—happen.

In this conversation, Jens and Corinna deep dive on the following topics:

  • How the success of the Coinstar business model exemplifies Tri-Sector Innovation, in which all three sectors contribute to—and benefit from—the model.

  • How TSI can be used to discover new ways to approach and solve societal problems: from homelessness and food insecurity, to mental health and environmental impact.

  • The upcoming release of NewImpact’s upgraded Tri-Sector Innovation Canvas, a hands-on tool enabling innovators and entrepreneurs to consider “all the pieces of the pie” and identify new opportunities while building stronger, more efficient business models.

  • The need for capitalism to continue evolving and moving forward; and how we must take an “all of society” approach to keep advancing our thinking and practical implementation, enabling us to create the future we want.

We invite you to listen or watch the conversation in its entirety, and reach out to us directly to learn about how you might use TSI to strengthen your own business model.

At NewImpact, we see that we have opportunity as a society to rethink how we deliver goods and services—using tri-sector innovation to leverage and repurpose the best existing resources across all three sectors, and align self-interests in service of the greater good.

If you’re inspired by this innovative concept, we encourage you to support our work!
