TSI on Campus: Yale University

It’s always great to spend time with the minds at Yale.

This week, NewImpact founder Jens Molbak spent the day on campus, leading conversations at the Yale School of Management (SOM) and a hands-on workshop at the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (Tsai CITY).

Across sessions, everyone explored how Tri-Sector Innovation aligns business, government, and social-sector resources and self-interests to drive change that scales.

At SOM, discussions centered on how to design systems that connect public purpose with private value. At Tsai CITY, students took that framework into practice—mapping how ideas can move across sectors to reach more people.

The energy and curiosity from Yale’s students made it clear that the next generation is ready to lead across boundaries.

Thank you to Victor Padilla-Taylor, Chelsea Spata, Kyle Jensen, and the Yale SOM Startup & Entrepreneurship Club for the sharp questions, open minds, and willingness to test Tri-Sector Innovation in action.

Jens also shared a first look at new ways we’re telling the Tri-Sector Innovation story. More on that next week.
